11-5-06 The last few shows hae been phenominal!! Special thanks to Odium for making the journey all the way to Phoenix. They made it back home safely. 6-2-06 Greetings Pinga fans!! Well the announcement is here... We have a new drummer! His name is Marty Grimes. He will be replacing Eric behind the kit. The last shows wih Eric were AWESOME! 5-29-06 Time for the latest news..... We regret to inform you that Eric has decided to leave the Pinga family. He wants to move on and try something different musically & we wish him well! With that being said, we have 3 final shows with Eric on drums coming up. Saturday June 3rd at The Sets, Thursday June 22nd at Jugheads, and Friday June 23rd at Mardi Gras. Check the shows page for all the pertinent information! We do have something in the works for a replacement but it is too early to divulge that information. Stay tuned to see what happens next......
3-19-06 Greetings!! Long time no update!! The CD release at Mardi Gras was totally awesome! We can't thank everyone enough for coming out and making it as successful as it was!! SHOWS!! SHOWS!! SHOWS!! The shows page has been updated!! April 7th at Jugheads and May 6th at the Clubhouse!! Monsoon Radio is putting on the show at Jugheads and the next round of the Emergenza Festival on May 6th. Check out the shows page for all the details!! Sonoran Archetype is now available not only through the website, but at all local ZIA locations and Wonderland Records in Gilbert. Be sure to pick up your copy before they run out!!

6-19-05 Greetings! Well we don't have a new singer as of yet but, we are ready for auditions to get in full swing. We managed to get a new practice space a week ago and we are all moved in and ready to go!! Rough recordings of the new material are available on CD or for download upon request. In related news, we are still working on new material even without vocals. 4-30-05 Hey there Pinga fans!! It seems that the last news snippet was bad news.... Well this isn't going to be any different. We regret to inform you all that Adam has exited Pinga :( Basically, Adam got a promotion at his job that really didnt leave a whole lot of time to be in Pinga. It was a tough decision for him and us and we wish him the best! Obviously we are not going to record next week! However, we are reopening auditions for the vocal position. 3-26-05 Bad news everybody..... Pinga has been dropped off the show on April 15th at the Clubhouse. The show has been combined with the Opiate for the Masses CD release party at the Marquee Theater on the same night and we didnt make the cut...... We are sorry for the sad news but this was a matter out of our control. There will be a new show announcement very soon (ie as soon as we book one haha). In other news, we are still recording as planned but are shopping for a new studio to record at. In the meantime we are hard at work getting preproduction done for the new songs. Things are sounding freakin great!! Again, sorry for the cancellation...... We cant wait to get out & play again! We'll keep ya posted....
3-6-05 Well people... The time has finally come.... Were playing a freakin show!!!!! I know alot of you are saying "Its about time", and to be honest, so are we. Here are the details... April 15th @ The Clubhouse--All Ages--$5 cover--HEMLOCK, SIXSTITCH, PINGA, SKUMLOVE (from Los Angeles) More bands T.B.A. The Clubhouse address is 1320 E. Broadway Rd. Tempe, AZ 85282. If that wasnt enough news for ya... We are recording a new demo CD May 7th & 8th at Mind's Eye Studio. That means NEW PINGA MUSIC coming at you very soon!!! Make doubly sure you check back to keep up on the progress!
2-13-05 Hello, Hello everybody!! Long time, eh? The last couple of months have been wild & crazy! Well, not so much crazy or wild for that matter.... How about busy?? That works for me........ One doesnt realize how time consuming writing songs can be! I feel like I just posted here yesterday.... Enough of my yammering.... Yes we are still working on new material! So far we have.... (Ill go out on a limb here) 7 new songs! There are several more in different stages of completion! We went through our old material as well & picked out some songs to re-do. Those making the cut you ask? Glory Hole, Crumbs, Desert Pelican, Spitshine, & Rubbish... Adam is going over those songs & putting new lyrics to them. Never fear some will stay similar, but when we finally play out, be prepared for a brand new band! The pictures have been delayed FOREVER! It just seems that way! Were taking pics next weekend! Finally! keep looking for those! As far as shows.... Nothing yet...We want to make sure we come out swingin!! Keep an eye out in April/May for our first show back!
2-28-04 Happy holidays everybody! We here at the Pinga camp hope every one had a merry X-mas & will have a safe and Happy New Year!! We've been hard at work the last few weeks! Its been freakin AWESOME! We have 2 songs completed & a third on its way.... The cutting room floor has been swept up & anything is game for new songs!! Not bad for just a few short weeks!! Once the holidays are over were back to business to say the least! The Forum has been pretty active lately so click here to join in on the action! In other news... as some of you know we have been the #1 band on Barstar.com for the last year!! Well.... they are clearing the rankings as of January first! 12-10-04 Good news, Pinga fans, good news! We would like to welcome Adam Sandberg into the Pinga family as our new frontman! Adam has been involved with several bands in the valley including Brik, Cell and now Pinga. We are excited to have him and look forward to many, many good times in the coming months.... Speaking of the coming months.... We are planning on hunkering down in our studio for awhile & concentrating on new music. We arent in any real hurry, so if you are chompin' at the bit for a Pinga show--You're gonna have to wait.... Shows will be cropping up sometime in the new year!! 11-10-04 Damn... it has been almost a month since my last update!! There is going to be an interview with Earl on the Beach, a new entertainment spotlight show that airs on Friday nights between 7 and 9 pm. The Beach stands for "Best Entertainment and Comedy Hotspots" They showcase everything from comedians to hop- hop & Jazz. It is on your AM dial (yes AM) at 1310 or if streaming audio is your thing it is also on www.KXAM.com It's a pretty cool format so if you dont know what is going on you can tune in and find something to do. The show at the complex on Nov 19th has been cancelled Thanks go out to every one that got to witness the debacle at the Cabras premier on November 4th! Thanks do go out to Andres for all of his hard work putting the soundtrack together!! (I heard the movie got screwed that night too!) Heres to breaking shit & getting kicked out!! If anyone has pictures or knows where to find pictures of that night be sure to let us know!! Thats it for now--Keep checking back for updates!!

10-13-04 This might be a little long winded.... DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS............ Heres the skinny #1 The Halloween bash is at ICON Studio at 1205 W. Pierce St in Phoenix. Thats about 12th ave & Grand Ave. We are playing with Dephinger, Tortus, 80--D, G-Rival, The Mongoloids and F-Harsh! 21 + over with a $5 cover charge. Be sure to dress up as your favorite pimp.... #2---The Cabras premier party.... This show is going to be INSANE!! This is also Sonik magazine's 4th anniversary bash. All of the bands that are on the Cabras movie soundtrack are playing! There is going to be a fashion show with 130 models! DJ's, lights, Booze, music, and movies all wrapped up in one night!! This is going to be at the Icehouse in downtown Phoenix. 429 W Jackson St. on Thursday November 4th 2004. The doors are open at 6:30 & Music starts at 7:00 pm. Tix are $15 & $21 Day of show.... In the middle of the bands is going to be the premeir of the movie Cabras. Check their website for a brand new movie trailer and info about the cast & sound clips from all of the bands on the soundtrack!! Here is a list of some of the bands playing: Pinga (of course), Calabrese, Hall 13, Ikonoklast, Bullet Train to Moscow, Labor Party, & more! 10-10-04 Hey there ho there... Whats the latest you ask??? Why haven't there been any freakin updates?? Well here goes... First off, we have been asked to contribute a song to an independent movie called Cabras! The movie was filmed here in the valley & is ready to be released very soon. The paperwork is almost dialed in & we will let you know about the soundtrack & when the official movie release is going to be. We have been asked to play the premier as well so keep an eye out for all that juicy information!! Our next scheduled show is October 30th for a Halloween bash. I cant remember where it is right now... But it is approximately at 11th Ave & Grand Ave in Phoenix. 9-26-04 Hello!! The show at Stray Cats was a huge success! Special thanks to Monsoon Radio and Trench for letting our bros New Mexican Erection from New Mexico play at the end of the night! Props to Feral for a great set also. We look forward to playing there again! It was great to see NME again--It has been too long since they have been to PHX. We have been added to the playlists at Monsoon radio as well as The Edge FM radio who are both internet stations. We thank them for their support!! They have been added to the links page as well so you can find their station easily!! On a side note... The October 2nd show has been cancelled but stay tuned for some new shows coming up very soon!! 8-14-04 ITS HERE! ITS FINALLY HERE!! TONIGHT its our CD release party at Jugheads!!! We are going on approximately (my dictionary is still packed) at 11:00 pm. 7-25-04 Man, has it been 3 weeks since the last update??? OOPS-- Honestly, there hasn't been all that much to report about. Just kidding.... We are hard at work writing new songs to premiere at the CD Release show on August 14th. How are they coming you ask? We have a ton of new material we are working with right now. All in all, its about a whole album worth! We are shooting for 4 new songs done & ready for the show. "Oh my god, Pinga is having a CD release party?" Where the hell have you been? Not here often enough! For those who dont know yet--Pinga CD release party--August 14th, 2004 at Jugheads. 5110 E McDowell Rd in Phoenix. Heres how the cover works..... $8 to get in the door and you get a copy of our new CD. If you have purchased our CD prior to the show, bring it with you to get in the door for only $3. I am expecting to get the official lineup from Sid today so keep checking back to see who we are playing with that night. Tonight on 98 KUPD's Red Radio Underground (7-9 PM Sunday nights) they are going to play Pinga! We dont know which song yet--My guess is Donor (cause they don't have to edit swear words). E-mail Larry Mac here to get us played more than the customary "One time" on his program. I would do it but that type of shamless self promotion is taboo...So send him an email cause I cant! the other day I was working in the sun. then it hit me... Screaming Monkey Boner.....
7-3-04 Time for some updatin'....... The big news of the hour is that the CD is DONE!!! Thats friggin' right, DONE, FINISHED. period. I must say that it turned out KILLER!! So now what? Were selling them for $5 at shows & other outlets, so keep your eyes peeled! The MP3's are posted on the music page so go & Check them out!!! Next order of business.... the Las Vegas show!! Vegas was a total blast! Lots of beer, gambling, nonsleep, not remembering gambling, and I cant forget beer!! We met a bunch of very cool people & look forward to seeing them again next time were in Las Vegas. Flatline played great as did Temperd! We cant wait to hook up with our bros in LA.
